I've come to the conclusion its 100% distraction and fear inducing psychology. When people are fearful be it of virus, war, aliens then they will give up rights or make unusual decisions they think will protect them and others. Just dont bother watching the news. Most of it is pure theatre for the fearful.

I've been watching 'Alien Chronicles' for weeks on my pirate TV system. It's an American series for one of the US companies and literally consists of lots of former Pentagon, senior military or very qualified professors that actually believe Aliens have been visiting us for centuries to keep an eye on us.
I was laughing with my wife about what mugs Americans are for believing this shit...
